With more than two dozen TLC matches in WWE’s history, you don’t really expect to see too many more innovative spots in these matches, just varieties off a theme.

However, the Kabuki Warriors and Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair found a couple interesting ones during their TLC bout for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Asuka and Kairi Sane pinned Charlotte into a chair with a kendo stick and repeatedly kicked her while she was defenseless. They tied Lynch to a ladder so she was trapped and couldn’t compete. Later, Asuka tipped over a ladder by pulling on the rope tied to the ladder.

The match itself was sloppy at times and suffered from Kairi clearly being out of it for large parts of the bout. But overall, it wasn’t a bad match. It had a fair amount of action, and the tag champs won fairly cleanly over two top-tier wrestlers. All of that is good enough for a thumbs-up here.
