Hats off Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy for putting together a really good undercard match between the two of them Sunday night.

Black has been doing his “knock on my door and pick a fight with me” gimmick for a while now, but it really hasn’t amounted to much of anything, until Murphy mockingly did so recently. That led to their TLC bout, which started with the two of them sitting face-to-face, cross-legged.

The match itself was fast-paced and hard-hitting, with Murphy and Black both being proficient with strikes. The storyline for the contest was Aleister’s jaw getting jacked early on and then repeatedly being targeted – despite it being his nose that bled for much of the bout. Murphy unloaded with knees and superkicks, while Black countered with his own knees and kicks.

The finish was sudden, with the two of them trading strikes until Murphy whiffed and Aleister nailed a Black Mass for the knockout blow.

As the announcers said this was a match between two men who could have a bright future in WWE, and it was good to see them tear into each other like this. More please.
