Imagine someone stalks your family, then breaks into your house and torments them. How would you react?

Well, Miz faced this situation, and he declared in a backstage interview that this was the most personal match of his career. Then he walked out and did his normal ring entrance and went through the motions of his normal match, with a couple of tweaks.

We’ve seen Miz have good matches where he unleashes a nice flurry of offense. We didn’t get a lot of that here. We didn’t get the father and husband out for vengeance either. If they wanted to sell that, ditch the normal entrance, walk straight to the ring and when the bell rings, pummel Wyatt mercilessly. Punch, kick and drop knees on him like a madman so we can feel your anger.

Miz gave a small flurry to open the match, but it felt like a contained anger, not a raging man defending his family. There was an opportunity to really drive the storyline in the ring, but it just felt like filler until what happened afterward.
