6 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel

3. RIP Braun

What the hell was that?

The moment Roman Reigns went down with an unfortunate diagnosis, WWE had a rare opportunity to reheat one of its very few organic stars that fans have gravitated toward due to his impressive feats of strength.

Instead, the company decided to throw its Universal Championship back around the waist of a part-time player who is more focused on returning to UFC than to build a brand in WWE.

Worse yet, Brock Lesnar squashed Braun Strowman. And no matter what they say about Baron Corbin’s belt shot giving Brock the advantage, it was one damn shot with the title. Braun has shrugged off way worse, and instead, we got five F-5s and a new champ – and a burial.

As Randy Orton would say, “Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!”
