6 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel

2. Making A Mockery Of Things

As if a tournament final to crown the “Best in the World” between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz wasn’t campy enough, we got possibly the dumbest outcome possible. Actually, scratch that: We got by far the dumbest outcome possible.

An executive who wasn’t even entered into the tournament won the event.

The Miz got injured during a pre-match brawl (that he started), which should have triggered a forfeit, but SmackDown GM Shane McMahon decided to interject himself into the match and compete on Miz’s behalf. No, he didn’t get the runner-up, Rey Mysterio, or someone else from the SmackDown roster. He inserted himself into the finals – and then he won a squash in about three minutes!

Seriously, Shane won the tournament and took the trophy home. What a bleeping joke. What an absolute bleeping joke.
