6 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel

4. Miz, Rey Step Up 2nd Round

After criticizing how uninspiring the entire first round of the tournament was, it’s only fair to give credit to The Miz and Rey Mysterio for having an entertaining second round match.

Rey might not be able to fly around the ring at the pace he used to a decade or two ago, but he kept things moving really well, playing off of Miz nicely. And to his credit, Miz did a solid job keeping Mysterio down and cutting off his comebacks.

Mysterio was the perfect opponent for Miz – someone smaller and wounded that Miz could believably beat, but also a big enough name that he could crow about it for weeks. And he won cleanly to boot.
