There’s the old expression about leaving it all out on the field, and that’s exactly what we got in the WWE United Kingdom Championship match.

Pete Dunne and Joe Coffey delivered a HELL of a good match to close out the first UK TakeOver, with numerous big moves that could have scored a pinfall and some absolutely stiff shots that made you cringe. Dunne obviously has mastered that art, but it works so much better when someone else can stand across the ring and dish out and take those shots as well. Coffey was up to the task.

Coffey’s powerbomb on the apron looked absolutely brutal, as did his Mt. Everest German suplex. Dunne hit all of his trademark German suplexes, X-plex, and of course, small-joint manipulation. Of course, the question that had been posed throughout the bout was whether Coffey could do what no one has been able to do for 600-plus days: end Dunne’s title reign. With that answered, we then got the one thing that could top that match…
