6 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Nov 18)

1. On Finn Ice

This wasn't the main event, even if it did close the show.

Balor returned, which at this stage felt absolutely vital for the show. He had none of the answers we were promised, and your guess is as good as mine as to what's happening with the NXT Championship, but as a setup for the return of the Undisputed Era and the formal WarGames announcement (it's never official until Regal blows out a mic with it), it did the job.

If you've been entirely critical you could make a case for this being a huge letdown, but in isolation, this rocked. I'm also kind of into Finn Balor walking out to her music.

As ever, any segment that puts Pat McAfee on the microphone is to be enjoyed on this show. Even if it cuts off the man we're actually hoping to hear from. Mass brawls are done to death on this show but, right here, is where they're supposed to be used. Something spilling out everywhere, consuming the entire roster (hey Bugez!!), containable only in a double steel-cage. Great fun, all of this, even if it's technically good booking.

Mad, really, that this all started with Adam Cole on that podcast.
