6 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's NXT (June 3)
1. Remember When We Didn't Have A Tag Team Division?
For what felt like a million years, the Undisputed Era held onto the tag-team Championships purely because there wasn't a single interesting match for them to have. Seriously, they won them in August 2019 and then defended them twice in the entire rest of the year. You can't remember a single one of those matches, and I don't blame you.
Since dropping them in February the volume of matches hasn't exactly skyrocketed, but the number of teams at least having the good grace to exist absolutely has. Imperium, Grizzled Young Veterans, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne, Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher, The Big Beefy Biven Boys, christ even Ever-Rise, the division feels huge.
Add to it the returning Breezango tonight and there's now the variety and depth that felt impossible just earlier this year. They might not be everyone's first choice to the TakeOver match, but the triple threat we got here proved they'll deliver something worth watching at the weekend.
