The truth of the matter is that Damian Priest isn’t getting any younger. At 40, he’s not someone you would call and up-and-coming superstar. But that is far from any reason to not go all-in on Priest right now.

The Punishment of the Judgment Day has been on a roll lately, despite losing several high-profile matches, most notably a World Heavyweight Championship match recently and a street fight against Bad Bunny at Backlash. His run has raised the question of whether he could be a top guy in WWE, and it looks like the company has decided to give that a go.

Priest captured the Money in the Bank briefcase Saturday, defeating six other superstars. Priest feigned a truce with Logan Paul before laying the Maverick out. As the biggest guy in the match, he frequently was targeted, but he also often overcame his smaller opponents. Damian finally cleared a path when he hit LA Knight with a Broken Arrow off the ladder, eliminating the last man standing to capture the briefcase.

Going with Priest opens up questions about whether the briefcase causes dissension in the Judgment Day, or whether the stable rallies around him to help him become World Champion. We got our first pretty obvious tell later in the night Saturday.
