6 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Jan 11)
1. Lazy Finish For A Lazy Feud
With NXT suddenly deciding to actually make Boa something resembling a formidable entity in recent times, it's been a little difficult to erase the memories of the often squashed and bullied Tian Sha man we've come to know over the last year or so.
But a burgeoning feud with Uso brother Solo Sikoa appeared to be an attempt to add some credibility to his newly possessed persona, with Boa attacking his rival from behind recently and opening the door for a clash between the pair this week. Evidently, though, the 2.0 hierarchy weren't in the mood to see either man pick up an "L", so a surprisingly amped up CWC had their passion rewarded with a double count-out finish. Sigh.
There's nothing wrong with protecting a set of stars you're attempting to build into exciting commodities going forward. But if you don't want either man to taste defeat, just don't book them in a match together. Wrestling is painfully simple at times, but WWE insists on turning it into rocket science.
Speaking of explosive equations, however, the introduction of a fiery backstage exchange and Sikoa being "in his element" battling through NXT's warehouse means only one thing for this continuing rivalry... Street Fight Inferno Match, anyone? They wouldn't... would they?
