6 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Jan 11)

Ups...

6. Bron Thanks Ciampa, Keeps It Short And Sweet

One week removed from overcoming Tommaso Ciampa in a gruelling main event that already sits as one of the matches to beat in WWE's Match of the Year race, your new NXT Champion Bron Breakker made his way to the ring. And damn, he looks good in gold.

Wasting little time in saluting his fallen foe and giving him his dues for respectfully passing the torch onto him on the night, Breakker was then quick to turn his attention to the future. A to the point decree that nobody in the back was capable of out-training, out-researching, or out-working the Steiner soon followed before the specimen wandered out of the ring and gave us a tantalising stare-down with Santos Escobar just to get us a touch excited as he strutted out of the CWC.

Though Bron is by no means a bad worker on the mic, his strengths undoubtedly lie in his freakish athleticism and strength in-between the ropes. So, it was wise to have him not overstay his welcome in this moment of authentic stage setting.

The question is, who is next for this young, new Champion? Could we see the Legado leader finally get a shot at the big one? Or will another 2.0 newcomer step up to the plate? 2022 has already got off to an intriguing start...
