6 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 16)
5. Hayes Wants Them All
... Or maybe not.
Evidenced in the fact that he seemed particularly brassed off about the visual of his son-in-law being crumpled into the mat, Johnny Gargano proceeded to quickly demand that Carmelo Hayes meet him for the North American Championship to get retribution for his family. Cue Pete Dunne not having any of it and actually being the first person in what feels like forever to spout some sense in this often barmy barn of bizarreness.
Dunne now has a win over the champ, Gargano assistance or not, and nobody would turn down the chance to see The Bruiserweight run it back with The 'A' Champ after last week's smash hit. But Hayes had other ideas, being goaded into a triple-threat, against a terrible seven dwarves impersonating Trick Williams' wishes, by the NXT veterans. Line of the week is awarded to Dunne highlighting how he's the same age as Hayes with ten years more experience. Madness, when you think about it.
The NA title showdown, set to go down next week, will no doubt be one of the most explosive in recent memory, with all three men holding the potential to bring the house down and then some. Though it is difficult to see past Hayes walking out still holding onto his strap. So, what will the future hold for two of the NXT OG's coming into WarGames? For now, let's just sit back and enjoy the carnage heading our way in seven days time.
