3. Duke Folds After A Poker Showdown

Your writer was rather sceptical over whether or not a Poker Showdown would be able to seize hold of an audience for a decent amount of time a week ago, but I'm pleased to report that the lads only went and bloody did it.

Mixing up the usual promo process of two stars discovering they have an issue with one another and gradually dialling up the drama, Cameron Grimes and Duke Hudson's rivalry seemed to tease heading down that stale road a week ago, only to find its footing once again last night. Watching the walls slowly close in on Grimes throughout their game of Texas Holdem before the ultimate bluffer tied his adversary into a verbal knot and caused him to fold with the upper hand was a thing of beauty. It also massively informed Duke's eventual snapping on The Dogefather and subsequent powerbomb through the poker table.

Adding genuine heat into the mix, Hudson would then proceed to snip away some of Grimes' prized beard and hair as referees did all they could to stave off further damage. Hudson may have struggled to find his voice last week, but his nervous energy and obvious cracks here made for a compelling development in a story that may have just gotten interesting.
