6 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 37 - Night 1

2. Shane Nearly Kills Himself… Again

As horrible as this entire Braun Strowman/Shane McMahon feud has been, there actually was a really simple way to redeem it: Braun runs over Shane and murders him in 3 minutes, pinning him with ease.

Instead, we got Elias and Jaxson Ryker hitting Braun with steel chairs, Shane waffling Strowman’s leg with a chair, and then actually hurting the Monster Among Men. Worse, we had to endure Braun selling Shane’s stupid punches and kicks, as McMahon just had to get a 12-minute WrestleMania match.

So rather than getting a quick squash of the 51-year-old wheezing executive by the 385-pound wrestler, we got… that. There was no reason for this to last that long, except for the fact that Shane is a McMahon, so therefore we’re supposed to believe that he’s superhuman.

At least Braun won the match convincingly, tossing Shane off the cage in the process. Otherwise, what a total waste.
