6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Raw (April 6th)
1. Reigns Isn't Connecting? Have Him Work With Big Show!
If you sat an outsider who doesn't follow the product down, forced them to watch the last six weeks of WWE programming and then asked them what they thought management's opinion of Roman Reigns was, they'd probably posit that he's just "some guy." In the lead up to the biggest match of his life they had him lose to The Big Show, and in the two matches he's had since losing said biggest match, he's now faced Show in both of them. WWE's fascination with Big Show in 2015 should be studied. Seriously, there should be grants and research committees formed to get to the bottom of why Vince thinks booking this guy so strongly leads to positive returns. They've taken the Goldberg formula - something that was quite successful for Reigns during his run with The Shield - and forgotten it entirely, instead trying to turn him into a Samoan Ricky Morton who sells for 90% of his matches. If they wanted Roman Reigns to get over, he should go in the ring with Big Show, kick his giant *ss from pillar to post for 5 minutes, then superman punch-spear-pin. Instead they continue to make him look unspectacular by accentuating his weaknesses in long matches against heatless veterans who have long overstayed their welcome in main events.
