Typically, using your tag team champs as a prop to get someone else over would be a “down,” but in this case, that’s a feature, not a bug.

Sheamus & Cesaro have done an admirable job playing instigators and serving as both foils and a means to an end. Their antagonizing and attacks forced Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to gradually bury three-plus years of hatred over Rollins’ betrayal, resulting in the two former Shield members finally reuniting Monday.

And as a reward for that – and a possible punishment for Sheamus & Cesaro’s constant attacks – GM Kurt Angle put the two pairs into a match for the Raw Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. That match could be a show-stealer if it gets the time and the four men are up for it.
