6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (August 21)

5. Riott Squad Triumphs

There’s a long way to go with this trio, but Monday night, the Riott Squad looked pretty decent.

Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan defeated Sasha Banks, Bayley and Ember Moon, using a little distraction to gain the upper hand and score the pinfall, which is a pretty standard heel tactic.

The important note here is that the trio looked better than they had before Ruby went down with an injury a while back. They gelled well and functioned better in the ring. You could probably credit the women for improving, but it also helped that they were in there with three of the better wrestlers in the division.

It’s good that there’s something for these six women to do, but hopefully this isn’t going to continue ad infinitum in different formations for the next two months. We’ve already seen Banks and Bayley tangle with Logan and Morgan a few times, so this rivalry will need something more than, “They’re trying to get their win back” as it progresses.
