6. Roman’s Foil?

It looks like WWE has found the one person on the full-time roster who fans universally hate more than Roman Reigns: Constable Baron Corbin.

Reigns was attempting to make a match between him and Finn Balor when Corbin interrupted and made 1,000 excuses about his loss to the Demon at SummerSlam. He also tried to nix the Universal Championship match, which didn’t go over well with the fans. They booed, and Corbin said they were booing Balor for “cheating” as the Demon.

Roman stepped in and dropped some knowledge: “They’re booing your dumbass. If I sucked as bad as you did last night, I’d try to forget it too.” It was a perfect little jab at a hated heel authority figure, which the fans responded to pretty well.

Sure, it isn’t going to be a panacea, but it’s worth giving a little thumbs-up here.
