6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 19)

1. Women Are An Afterthought

So 24 hours after the first women’s Money in the Bank ladder match ended with a man retrieving the briefcase, WWE decided to cram one segment involving all the women into the “death slot” before the main event. And even then, it was just a mess.

We had Sasha Banks face off against Nia Jax in a match that would amount to nothing, followed by Alexa Bliss, Emma, Mickie James, Dana Brooke and Bayley hitting the ring for a melee, ending the match and leaving everyone hanging around the ring with nothing resolved.

It probably means we’re going to get a multi-woman match for the Raw Women’s Championship, which might be all well and good, but it also feels like the easiest (read: laziest) form of booking. And it came in a throwaway segment, which adds to the frustration.

And again, it doesn’t help that this is right after the women’s MITB debacle.
