Unlike his broadcast booth compatriot Percy Watson, Nigel McGuinness has been a joy to listen to during NXT programming, and that was on full display Saturday night, particularly during the UK Championship match.

McGuiness partnered with Jim Ross to call the Tyler Bate/Pete Dunne match and they did not disappoint. Nigel constantly added context to the conversation and related the significance of what the title meant and how various moves affected an opponent. Throughout the night, Nigel was insightful and kept the conversation moving while being focused on the action.

In short, he’s better than two-thirds of the announcers WWE currently employs. Can we get him on SmackDown?
