In what will probably be their last tag team match for a while, DIY let it all hang out Saturday night, leading the Authors of Pain through a pretty good ladder match that featured plenty of awesome moments.

AOP received negative marks earlier for being out of their league, which is deserved, but that also means that DIY earned an “up” for carrying the bigger men to a perfectly fine match that included some great spots, such as Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano splashing Akam and Rezar through ladders, a couple innovative climbing spots, a German suplex off a ladder through a ladder, and Gargano nearly getting decapitated with a ladder.

The match earned a standing ovation from the Chicago faithful, more for DIY’s performance, as no one was happy that AOP defended their titles. It set the stage perfectly for what came later. But as a swansong, this wasn’t too shabby.
