6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (August 26)

DOWNS…

6. Falling Back On A Crutch

WWE Raw Rob Stone 24/7 Champion

For a while, the 24/7 Championship “title defenses” were a highlight of Raw, but it’s been more hit-or-miss lately.

Monday’s edition was definitely a “miss,” with Elias doing a performance at FOX's founders event (as WWE will be on FOX starting in the fall). R-Truth rolled him up for the pin, fled and later ran into Fox Sports personalities. One of them, Rob Stone, pinned Truth, and then Elias rolled him up to regain the title.

This isn’t anything we haven’t seen multiple times, which is why this is getting negative marks (albeit just a small one). They’ve done a lot better with these segments, and hopefully they’ll right the ship, because the saving grace of the title’s very existence is these skits being entertaining as hell.

If they aren’t, then the title is truly worthless. One off-week isn’t doom for the 24/7 Championship, but it needs to rebound.
