6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 26)

4. Choke Artist

Raw Samoa Joe Brock Lesnar

Look, Samoa Joe very well is going to be just another victim for Brock Lesnar in two weeks on PPV, but he’s sure being booked like a killer.

Joe once again got the jump on Brock, choking him down with the Coquina Clutch. Despite Lesnar breaking free a couple times, Joe reapplied the hold and kept it on until Brock turned purple and the Revival pulled the Samoan Submission Machine off the Universal Champion.

Joe looked dangerous and every bit a threat to Brock. That’s no small feat. Whether or not he defeats Lesnar, Joe is in a position to stay in the upper echelon of the card if WWE so chooses. It would be nice if the company is going to have the part-timer beat the full-time superstar that WWE doesn’t send Joe hurtling back down to 50/50 Land, where he trades wins on a monthly basis.
