6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 11)

5. A Lot Of Yelling

Triple H yelling

It’s kinda hard to figure out where to place the promo between Batista and Triple H from Raw.

On the one hand, seeing the two former Evolution teammates square off in one last match – Batista said it was his “one last match to end my career on my terms” – will be cool, and you know both men will use the no holds barred stipulation to make the match interesting.

On the other hand, the promo Monday night simply featured both men yelling at each other over and over – Batista: “Give me what I want!” Triple H: “Fight me like a man!” – as the Animal’s beating of Ric Flair was merely a backdrop at this point.

It just felt like this could have been handled differently, and better. Triple H often resorts to the yelling promo for stuff like this, when the more powerful moves have been to remain eerily calm. (Remember when Triple H and Undertaker just looked at the WrestleMania sign silently to acknowledge they were going to face each other there?)

Call this a very mild down for now, but it didn’t detract from the show overall.
