Considering that there is an entire program dedicated to the cruiserweight wrestlers, it’s not shocking that the lighter performers’ matches on Raw often are designed to generate interest and set up angles for 205 Live.

However, the bout between Akira Tozawa and Ariya Daivari was so quick that it barely had time to accomplish that goal. The match flew by, ending with Tozawa hitting a top rope senton for the win. It was too quick, giving Brian Kendrick only a few seconds to put over their street fight on Tuesday while the action in the ring was severely limited by time constraints.

This column isn’t asking for a 15-minute classic on Raw, but once in a while, we deserve a decent 5-minute match that shows off what makes the cruiserweights unique. Some fans need that reminder.
