6. Returning With A Whimper

One thing that is almost always a constant in WWE is that returning superstars who have been absent from TV for months (typically due to injury) often make their return with a bang. It can come via a surprise run-in, surprise tag partner/opponent, or just a solo spotlight promo.

And then there’s Tamina’s return after missing nine months: already in the ring when Raw returned from commercial, teaming with Dana Brooke in a losing effort.

Of all the ways to return, this has to be the worst. How can anyone miss you if it’s barely acknowledged that you were gone? Sure, Tamina hit a nice Samoan drop on Nia Jax in an impressive spot, but that was about it for her.

Then again, Tamina has been so inconsequential on WWE TV the past couple years, a “surprise return” intro might have played to crickets.
