6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (October 15)

5. Teasing A New Feud?

WWE typically doesn’t do subtle well, but there was something about the entire Finn Balor appearance on Raw that pointed to his next program.

Balor has been mired in a stall for a while now, battling Jinder Mahal as part of a weird go-nowhere feud with he and Bayley against Mahal and Alicia Fox. And while it’s kept him on TV and in a winning way, there is no long-term future to it.

But Monday, Balor squashed – and we mean squashed – Jinder, putting him away quickly and decisively. Afterward, Bobby Lashley and mouthpiece Lio Rush came out, with Lashley getting in Finn’s face for a staredown. It was the second straight week where Lashley and Balor came face-to-face, and this time Bayley had to push Finn out of the ring.

It seemed to hint at a rivalry coming between the two of them, which actually wouldn’t be a bad feud. And it was hinted at in a smart way, rather than clubbing fans over the head with it.
