Yes, this might be picking on the Bellas, but if WWE and Nikki Bella are going to make a big deal of trying to break AJ Lees longevity record as Divas Champion, then its worth calling this out. Nikki has not defended her title in a televised match in 44 days (as of Tuesday). She also had a two-month gap between defenses from December last year to February. This might not be nice to single her out several champs have gone lengthy periods without defending their titles (Brock Lesnar comes to mind) but WWE constantly makes a big deal of how long Nikki has held the Divas Championship and how close she is to breaking AJs 295-day record. But if Nikki rarely defends her title, its far easier to reach that plateau. She didnt defend her title on Smackdown (just taped) and is in the elimination match at SummerSlam, so the earliest she could defend the title is next weeks Raw, 50 days since the last time she put the title on the line. But shell only be three weeks from AJs record, so hooray for her!
