DOWNS…

7. Flying Solo

Remember when Rusev nearly knocked off John Cena at WrestleMania XXXI? Well, neither does WWE.

Yes, not everything is cumulative and comparative, but watching Big Cass basically manhandle both the Bulgarian Brute and Jinder Mahal (both of whom didn’t get entrances Monday) in a handicap match was mind-boggling. Cass is a big guy and capable, but it was almost too easy for him, and he basically lost by slipping on a banana peel (metaphorically) when Jinder went after a wheelchair-bound Enzo Amore.

This isn’t to say that Cass should have been demolished in 30 seconds, but to dominate the brief match and then fall victim to one kick and then lose helped no one. If this was a situation where the writers found themselves without a lot of time and a desire to get them on camera, maybe they should have rethought it.
