6. The Hapless Crews

Just a casual reminder that it’s been three months since Apollo Crews won the “Fresh Start” battle royal to earn an Intercontinental Championship match (which he lost).

Since then, Crews has had a handful of matches on Raw, losing to Bobby Lashley and Kurt Angle, but defeating Baron Corbin last week. And on Monday, Corbin got his win back convincingly, with a post-match End of Days serving as a period on that.

Poor Crews has long been lauded as having all the tools to become a champion in WWE, but he’s nothing more than an athletic, talented jobber to the stars. Apollo has had a bunch of semi-pushes start and almost immediately stop. This column has listed some of his wins as “ups” in the hopes that WWE might recognize that the only way for him to succeed is to actually win a few matches.

But here we are, and there Apollo is.
