6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 25)
5. Intercontinental Chump
When trying to book a dominant champion, it’s generally not good practice to have him lose two handicap matches to his challenger and regain his title with the help of his manager.
But that’s been Bobby Lashley’s journey, as he and impromptu tag partner Jinder Mahal lost a handicap match to Finn Balor Monday night. Mahal was a replacement for Lio Rush, who wasn’t medically cleared. And while it was Jinder who took the fall, it still makes Lashley look like a goof, as he loses a 2-on-1 match (with three men outside the ring helping them) to his IC title challenger.
This simply does not make you want to see the two of them tangle at WrestleMania, as we’ve now seen some iteration of this match (tag, handicap, singles) six time in the past two months. That’s just ridiculous, and Lashley has needed way too much help to get ahead.
