6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 11th)

5. Booker Still Confused

Look, this isn€™t really hard. Booker T made a mistake last week when he said that the €˜Freebird Rule€™ means that all three members of New Day can be in a tag team match at the same time. The unofficial rule actually says that any two of the members of a stable can defend the tag team championships. It was a bad mistake, but one had to assume that Michael €œP.S.€ Hayes sat Booker down and explained it to him after Raw went off the air. Problem solved, right? Nope. As Michael Cole laid out the WWE Tag Team Championship match at Payback, Booker chimed in that he believed that New Day would retain the titles because of the Freebird Rule and being able to compete three-on-two. And then no one corrected him. Look, once is bad, but forgivable. Twice is inexcusable. The fact that no one bothered to set the record straight is troubling. It just serves to confuse younger fans who€™ve never heard of the Freebirds. If there is such a rule where a tag team can get a third running buddy and wrestle handicap matches, why doesn€™t every team do that?
