5. Lars Almost Speaks

It looked like WWE was finally going to develop their newest monster beyond attacking jobbers and midcarders on Monday night, but it wasn’t to be.

Lars Sullivan came out for an interview with Charly Caruso, but before he could answer her first question, Lucha House Party came out to avenge their decimation last night. The trio attacked and managed to hold their own for a bit before Lince Dorado fell to a Freak Accident. Gran Metalik and Kalisto were able to save their partner before he got powerbombed.

But this was a chance to actually get some character development from someone who literally has done the same thing for the past six weeks – attack lower-tier wrestlers – with no advancement, and diminishing crowd returns.

Bear in mind that Sullivan was hyped to join the main roster in December, but didn’t due to anxiety. He hasn’t had a match since November(!) in NXT. That’s six months without an actual match, and just a series of attacks, with no motive or explanation.
