7. Lawler Embarrasses Himself Again

Poor Jerry Lawler. He turned in a nice performance at Hell in a Cell (uggh) and acquitted himself well on Raw last week, but he blurted out a line Monday night that was unforgiveable.

During the Ali/Andrade match, King desperately tried to work in a line, and finally asked his colleagues whether Andrade was related to Mario Andrade.

Of course, there is no (famous) Mario Andrade, but there is former racecar driver Mario Andretti.

Let that one sink in. Lawler tried to make a connection between Andrade, a Mexican wrestler, and Andretti, an Italian racecar driver who retired in 1994 – when Andrade was 5 years old.

Yep, way to make Raw sound young and hip. At least Dio Maddin had the good sense to blurt out, “What does that even mean?”
