6. No Good Reason

Sooooo…. Is Lacey Evans a face now? Is Natalya a heel? Does anyone actually care?

Nattie had a tag match against the Kabuki Warriors, with a mystery partner hanging over it. With the draft going down, maybe a new Raw superstar would team with Neidhart. Or maybe it would be a returning wrestler making a splash.

But no, Natalya announced that she needed a partner who took her to her limit: Lacey Evans. And just like that, their months-long mini-feud – which announcers told us over and over was so, so personal – was over. They teamed together – and lost, with Lacey taking the fall – without any hiccups.

This wasn’t like the Sheamus/Cesaro rivalry from years ago, where they battled over and over and finally forged a kinship over beating the hell out of each other and decided to do it to others. This was a subpar feud in which neither wrestler showed a hint of respect for the other (both women knocked the other out after victories), making this the definition of “out of left field.”

For WWE, however, this was just par for the course.
