If the Tag Title match got Clash of Champions off to a hot start, the Cruiserweights turned things up a notch. TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick wrestled an excellent Cruiserweight Title match that firmly established each man's role in the division, and reintroduced the lighter weight classes in perfect fashion.

Kendrick is the crafty veteran with loose morals who has worked long and hard to regain his WWE spot, and will use every shortcut in the book to keep hold of it. Kendrick refused Perkins' handshake, tied him up in the apron curtain, and wrestled a slower, methodical heel style that didn't always please the crowd, but put him over as the division's ultimate opportunist.

Perkins, meanwhile, made his way-out to some new 8-bit video game-style music that's either the best or worst entrance theme in WWE today. He was as smooth, fluid, and eye-catching as ever, and his high-flying antics late in the match helped recapture the crowd when it sounded like they'd gone to sleep.

TJP walked away with his first successful defence after weathering numerous Captain's Hook attempts and even a Sliced Bread. WWE are going to have to work hard to get the Cruiserweight division over, but it's impossible to fault the competitors' efforts, Kendrick's post-match headbutt gives the Cruiserweights their first real story thread.
