The New Day's WWE Tag Team Championship defence against Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows was everything it needed to be. A long run-time would've been nice, but all four participants brought their working boots, and with Xavier Woods and Francesca 2 providing the decisive factor, there's plenty of scope for a rematch.

This was the best match of Anderson & Gallows' WWE careers thus far. Anderson in-particular has struggled to adapt to the company's style after leaving NJPW earlier this year, but they started strongly and rarely let-off. While Gallows destroyed Woods and Big E at ringside, Anderson dismantled Kofi between the ropes. The duo's mean streak shone through from bell-to-bell, momentarily banishing all memories of those terrible doctor segments, and proving they'll be a long-term asset in Raw's tag division.

Meanwhile, The New Day continue to impress. They're now 78 days short of matching Demolition's record-breaking 478-day title reign, and all three were on top form last night. From Kofi's selling to Big E's mid-match dominance, the trio's cohesion brought The Club's downfall in a breathless tag match. They're still on top, and it'll take a mighty effort to dislodge them.

It's hard to tell where Gallows & Anderson go from here, but both teams put forth an effort to be proud of.
