6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2019

6. A Lot Of Nothing

We’ll pay tribute to the women’s tag team Elimination Chamber match later, but one thing should be noted as a negative: a whole lot of nothing.

The beginning of the match was actually pretty forgettable, with no team scoring an elimination until just before the final team entered. The action was fairly dull, with a lot of nondescript brawling and laying around. The IIconics’ tired shtick certainly didn’t help as everyone lied around the ring. There was one nice moment with everyone hitting finishers on each other, but it was a bit ridiculous with 10 women in the ring at the time.

Even after Nia Jax and Tamina entered the match, it took a couple minutes to really ramp up. It’s as if they were booking the match backward and ran out of time halfway through and had to improvise/stall the first half of the bout.

Not a huge negative, but after sitting through 15 minutes of intros and a 35-minute chamber match, having 15-20 minutes be forgettable is not gonna get a positive here.
