6 Ups And 7 Downs For WWE Fastlane

3. Rusev Hangs With Cena

Put aside the cheap low-blow finish of Rusev versus Cena for a minute. That was a horrible ending to a match that cruising along just fine to that point. Rusev and Cena throwing haymakers and big-time moves at each other for 15-plus minutes made for a pretty enjoyable match, and it showed that Rusev is more than a one-trick pony. He€™s clearly not just the foreign monster heel who will fade to nothing once he loses a big feud. Say what you will about Cena, but he does deliver in big matches, and if you can hang with him, you have proven yourself. Rusev traded power moves while hitting some aerial stuff as well, and he likely has a few more surprises up his sleeve for WrestleMania. The question that remains is, will Mania be the end of Rusev€™s streak? Or will Cena really give the Bulgarian Brute the rub and have him continue on undefeated? Either way, a really good match at Mania could elevate Rusev, win or lose.
