6 Ups And 7 Downs For WWE Fastlane

4. A Kingdom For A Clean Finish

Part of the problem with a placeholder show like Fastlane is that you get some matches that are clearly on the card merely to set up a rematch at WrestleMania. And thus, you get some screwy finishes that leave things unsettled. Goldust rolled up Stardust pretty cleanly, right? Uh, no. For whatever reason, the referee managed to not make a clean three-count. Dean Ambrose got himself disqualified in a horrible ending to his Intercontinental Championship match against Bad News Barrett. Paige lost her Divas Championship title match to Nikki Bella due to a rollup with tights. After Lana entered the ring, Rusev kicked John Cena below the belt to win his match. All four pairings will likely be retread for WrestleMania. This begs the argument from the get-go: If this is what you€™re going to do for your February PPV, then why bother having a February PPV in the first place?
