Maybe part of the problem is that this writer doesn’t watch SmackDown every week, but the rivalry between Miz and Elias just feels flat.

And a 2-of-3-falls match between them on Raw Monday night just didn’t work. At all. It didn’t help that the first two falls – which Elias and Miz split – came rapidly, with Miz getting a Skull-Crushing Finale seconds into the bout, and then Elias hitting Drift Away just a couple minutes into the second fall.

The third fall came after some moderate action, ending when Elias rammed his knee into the post, allowing Miz to get the Figure Four for the tap-out.

But through all of that, these thoughts kept popping up: Does anyone care? Is Miz still technically feuding with Shane McMahon? And does that even matter anymore?

These aren’t good questions to be popping up at this point.
