6 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 14th)

3. Weakness Revealed

The moment the match between Shane McMahon and Undertaker was announced, you knew that WWE was going to have to rely on smoke and mirrors to make this work as a believable match. On its face, no one could believe that 46-year-old executive Shane-O-Mac could compete with the Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell.

Despite attempts to remind fans of Shane€™s daredevil days, everything came crashing down in a flurry of weak rabbit punches Monday night. A confrontation between Shane, Taker and Vince McMahon ended with Shane calling UT €œVince€™s b*tch,€ prompting the Deadman to goozle the Boy Wonder. Shane escaped and began peppering Undertaker with weak-looking rapid-fire punches as he tried to stick-and-move. But it was all for naught as Taker landed a chokeslam moments later.

That brief encounter served to remind fans that Undertaker is the Phenom, while Shane is an executive who hasn€™t wrestled in six-plus years. Maybe WWE will find an avatar or have someone bail Shane out, but if they are staying the course with a one-on-one match, then we just potentially saw the best they had to offer.

The segment also wasn€™t helped by Shane flubbing his lines multiple times. Maybe it was nerves?
