It really is a shame that Jinder Mahal is a big, fat dud in the ring. He generates pretty good heel heat on the mic and with his presence, but he just can’t back it up when wrestling.

Case in point, Mahal’s United States Championship match against Jeff Hardy was painful to watch. Jinder is a basic wrestler at best, but when he’s off his game, even a basic match can look really bad. And Mahal was definitely off Friday.

It was readily apparent when Hardy went up for Whisper in the Wind and whiffed – and then Jinder fell down as if he had been hit. That was Jackie Gayda levels of bad.

Everyone has a bad night, but Mahal’s world title reign was a flop and he hasn’t gotten much better since then. If he could get his stuff together in the ring, then he could be something more. But right now, uggh.
