Pop quiz: Who were the surprise entrants in the Greatest Royal Rumble?

Answer: Babatunde (who?), Dan Matha (who?), Hiroki Sumi (who??) and Hornswoggle (*groan*). At least Roderick Strong and Tucker Knight have been on NXT TV.

Speculation ran wild for weeks, but ultimately, it was pretty much as advertised: 50 men in a Royal Rumble. That’s not a knock on WWE per se, but you’d think with all the hype the company gave this event that there would be something more to it. Even the title matches were baseline bouts.

This isn’t a show that’s going to be remembered years from now, other than the fact that women weren’t allowed to perform or participate in it. It was a show that was better than your average house show or B-PPV, but that was about it.
