6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Greatest Royal Rumble

2. Roman Luger

Once again, Roman Reigns has fallen short.

The Big Dog had another WWE Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar, and he once again failed to win the title. (We’ll talk about the “controversy” later.) This now is the fourth time Roman has faced Brock for the title (including WM 31), and he’s lost every time. Three of those losses have come during this recent Lesnar reign.

At what point do you just wave the white flag and move on? If Brock isn’t dropping the title, Reigns should move to SmackDown and try to get a fresh start. It doesn’t matter how many F-5s he kicks out of or how many spears he delivers, fans aren’t rallying to Roman.

And having him lose like this in big matches over and over and over just ruins any chance of him ever being accepted as a top guy. There’s a reason “Lex Luger” is also a verb in wrestling jargon.
