While many are still high on Theory, even he can’t elevate the horrendous dialogue WWE’s “writers” script for him.

Monday night, he stood there and uttered some serious detritus about how Bobby Lashley was not worthy of a United States Championship opportunity, that he’s the best investment Mr. McMahon has ever made, and that he’s the youngest US champ.

It was just more resumé recitation from a WWE superstar rather than actual character-building, but it was done in a way that literally no human being would speak. It felt like a robot reading pre-programmed lines that we’ve heard many times, using pre-approved WWE language and terminology.

It’s awful. Could you hear The Rock, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels or Brock Lesnar talking like this? NO. And fans respond to what they say. Maybe there’s something to that.
