6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 9)

4. Only $9.99€ Er, Free!

For a company that bragged like crazy about hitting 1 million subscribers to its Network, WWE sure didn€™t rest on its laurels Monday night. The Authority wasted no time in plugging the Network and the fact that it€™s free for February during the opening segment of Raw. However, the way in which Triple H and Stephanie McMahon deliver those awkward plugs feel like they either resent delivering them or they like being extra smug because they know that their pitches are riveted on to the promos. There€™s nothing natural about stopping mid-sentence to talk about how you can watch Fast Lane for free on the WWE Network. Honestly, that€™s what the announcers are there for. As annoying as JBL is when he incessantly yells €œ$9.99!€ at Michael Cole, that is what the announcers are supposed to do. They are talking directly to the millions watching at home. Triple H and Stephanie are supposed to be yelling at Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns or calling out Sting, not shilling like carnival barkers.
