6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 12th)

4. Three Times Zero Is Still Zero

If you told fans a year ago that Tyson Kidd would be appearing in three separate segments of Raw, they€™d probably think Kidd was being pushed as a serious competitor. How wrong they would be. Monday, Kidd appeared as a lumberjack in the opening match, serving as one of the faceless heels who beat on John Cena whenever he was tossed outside. Later, he and new tag team partner Cesaro battled the stuck-in-neutral New Day. Kidd wound up taking the pinfall loss in that match, just a week after he and Cesaro made an impact via surprise attack on Big E. So much for €œbuilding momentum.€ Kidd was back out there alongside Natalya as they supported Paige against Brie Bella, and Tyson managed to distract Paige and cost her the match. Tyson then took a slap to the face for his transgression. Does any of this help him? Kidd appeared in three segments of Raw and still looks like a goof. He has no motivation, no direction, no ambition driving him. Compare this to Tyson on NXT, where he drops facts and talks about winning matches to prove how good he is. It€™s just mind-boggling.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
