6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 29)

5. Ascending The Tag Team Ranks

It might not have been the most electric debut ever, but the Ascension€™s first Raw appearance went about as well as can be expected: a minute-long squash in which they dominated their opponents and finished them off convincingly, letting fans know that there€™s more to come. What made this debut a little different was who they beat: the former tag team champs, who lost their titles earlier in the night (more on that in a bit). Regardless of the fact that Miz and Damien Mizdow are little more than a comedy act, when you debut and beat the team that held the tag titles at the beginning of the night, you€™re off to a hot start. It€™s not like the Ascension beat Los Matadores or some makeshift team of Zach Ryder and Adam Rose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECDCM3KPO6k If nothing else, the victory signaled to new champs the Usos (and wrestling fans) that the Ascension will be after the WWE Tag Team Championships sooner rather than later.
